The ebook shows how useful estimates of various quantities can be made even when features of the system are not known with any accuracy. While the problems can be solved with a hand calculator, students are motivated to use the Fortran computer programs provided on the ebook’s CRC Press web page. Avoiding extra details, this textbook provides a comprehensive account of stellar and planetary topics.
